Lake Dunmore Adrienne style

I went canoeing with mom and aunt nancy and audrey, we went all the way around the island!
So Jacob got to talk all about water skiing, but I also had fun at lake dunmore...I didn't try skiing but boy did I love the water! I spent a ton of time swimming! I realized that with the life jacket on I could just float all around.... and I also practiced my swimming - Mom promises we can post about swimming lessons but only after she takes one more picture tomorrow.

out on the dock/raft with Jacob, I jumped off!

with my cousins audrey and adrianna.. I think this is calling for a calendar picture!

so we realized as we were on the dock that Jacob's shoe had floated off the beach and way out in the water - dad swam out and got it - practice for sunday - on Sunday he swam all the way accross the lake a 1/2 mile each way - and never touched once!

Everyone who was at camp on Saturday. 4 generations!

Weekend at Lake Dunmore

Again, sorry we have posted in a while, after mom brought back the 4th of July parade in town...the first in 21 years...she brought the circus to town! the real big top circus came to town last wednesday. Wednesday was also an important day - it was my granny's 80th birthday! So this weekend we got together to celebrate!  My dad is the youngest of 7 brothers and sister and 4 of his siblings were there this weekend along with 13 of my first cousins. Our Aunt Nancy and Uncle randy have a house on lake dumore in Vermont - but this year my Aunt Helen and Uncle Mark rented the house - We had lots of fun playing on the beach, swimming out the dock but the most fun was today. Today I (Jacob) finally got brave enough to try this summer skiing thing mom and dad do each summer (see our blog from our last summer lake dunmore trip)
Dad wakeboarding (on Saturday)

mom skiing (on Saturday)

On Sunday, mom convinced me to go out on the boat, then she worked really hard to convince me to go on the tube.. I was really nervous but I loved it - see the big grin on my face!

since tubing was so much fun after I was nervous, I felt like I could accomplish much more and I wanted to try this water skiing thing - I figured since I can snow ski and I now know of how to swim (I swam 25 yards in swim lessons this week...see tomorrow's post) I could try this.. - here I'm learning about my skis and how to get up.

on the boom - this is the first step in learning to ski - you learn to stand up on the boom.. I got up on my first try! I was hanging on tight here!

Getting a little more comfortable - straight arms now!

so comfortable I could look up to smile - We are going back on Wednesday and I'm going to try going on on the rope!

Mom was so proud of me and she decided to push her comfort zone and learn to wake board! Here she is on the boom.. she got up the first time too on the boom

Mom on the rope off the boom on the wake board - it took her a long time to learn how to do this!

Art Show

Sorry for the delay in posting - Mom was in charge of the 4th of July festivities in town and it was time consuming and she is the one who helps us with the blog. So an update - the last two weeks of June I took an art class. Here are some pictures from my art show on the last day of art camp.
my art work - see my warhol rendition on the right?

Dad and I with my recyced art project - is that a grin on dad's face in a photo?

my sketch book.

With Grace and Lillian..my neighbors, their mom didn't feel good so mom brought them along with their sister Ruth to my art show, ruth is asleep in her car seat during this picture.

Jacob made some art at my art show.

First Baseball Game

We went to our first baseball game last night. It was Fairfax night at the Lake Monsters; Mom got a call in April from the Lake Monsters asking if she (meaning the Rec Dept)  would like to sponsor at night, and get 50% of the sales from the pre-sold tickets. We were not that successful in our sales; and only sold 20 tickets but we had fun at our first game!

all of us at the start of the game

Adrienne showing her spirit - It's actually Jacob's #1 finger and my new shirt...because on the way to the game I spilled my chocolate milk all over my brand new white shirt and mom got me this one...which I later spilled blue snow cone all over!

Sammy and Adrienne.. they really enjoyed dancing and singing and getting on the jumbo tron!

Mom and dad said it was exciting... the game went into extra innings because the score was tied... we were a little tired at this point to full understand..

as we mentioned before the game went to extra innings.. and the #20...hit a game ending home run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the whole team came out to celebrate and mom was excited to #20 was her favorite because he was an Ithaca College grad!

Adrienne said the best part of the night was meeting Champ after the game - he signed Jacob's finger and Adrienne's poster, Adrienne was still raving about meeting champ all the way to the car and that it was her favorite part - even though he just is a fake person under it all.
